The soft-spoken duo comprised of Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel arrived as the beatnik choir in the midst of the raucous psychedelia. With splendid changes and a deep sense of melody and poetry, their altruistic pop helped ground the hippie movement and drive the musicality of the time towards the romantic poetic side.
